1) Do I need to register?

You have to register only if you want to list your books for sale. Registration is neither required nor advised if you are a buyer. You need to register to list your books for sale. The book information is needed so that the buyer can see what is available for sale. The buyer will need the contact info you provide to contact you to buy the book. Your home address will not be provided to the seller. It is up to you, the seller, to give the buyer the contact info you are comfortable giving (e-mail, phone #, etc).

3) What are the recommended places to carry out book transactions?

We strongly suggest that you meet at public places (school areas like the library or cafeteria, preferably) during normal business hours. We recommend that it be a cash transaction. Remember, both parties are meeting at their own risk. Personal judgment is highly recommended.

Seller FAQ's

1) How do I sell my book ?

You need to list your book(s) at our site. The prospective buyer will contact you based on the contact information you provide. You and the prospective buyer meet at an agreed upon place, where you will sell your book. We strongly recommend that you meet at a public place, like the school library, during regular business hours. We also recommend that you sell for cash, rather than a check. Once the book is sold, you, as the seller, should delete that book listing. Otherwise, new buyers will continue to contact you.

2) How much does it cost to list a book?

It’s FREE!!

3) How long is a listing maintained at this site?

Until you delete the listing.

4) What are the reasons that a seller might loose his/her account?

Sellers might loose their account for the following reasons:
1. If he/she uses this site for purposes other than selling and buying books.
2. If he/she fails to maintain an up-to-date listing of the books, because we do not like to provide invalid inventory to our prospective buyers.

5) How do I remove a book from my list?

Choose My Account from the homepage. Log in to your account. Once that comes up, click on My Listings from where you can delete the book you don’t want to list any more.

6) Do you have any other costs

No charge for any services at this site.

1) How do I buy a book?

Search for the books you need . The website will provide you with a list of sellers in your local area (within a radius of 50 miles max.). Contact the seller you choose directly, with the contact info provided. Meet the seller at an agreed upon location, and view the book before you buy it. We strongly recommend, that you meet at a public place, like the school library, during regular business hours. We also recommend that you pay by cash rather than by check. Never ever give out your credit card info to others. If the initial search does not turn up the book you need, it means there is no local seller listed for the book. However, our website does provide a comparative price of the same book from all major online booksellers with available coupons - all in one shot. It’s very easy to use once you start using it.

2) How much does it cost to buy a book?

We do not charge buyers to buy a book. You directly pay the cost of the book to the seller, when you meet.

3) Do you have any costs for the buyer?

No.

4) Can buyers return his/her book to the local seller?

All transactions should be final, unless you have a special agreement with the seller. Collegebooks4all.com is not responsible for any such agreements, and any unfavorable outcomes.

5) What to do if I can’t find the book?

If you can’t find the book by Title, try searching by ISBN number. If you still cannot find the book, please visit rare bookstores like Alibris or AbeBooks
